On Tuesday 5th July in perfect conditions the ladies welcomed their counterparts from Oakwood Golf Club.

The Taylor Trophy match consisted of four singles matches played off handicap.
All of the matches were keenly contested with the Fairacres Ladies the final victors, three matches to one. The team consisted of Jane Miller, Eileen Coates, Laura Gales and Sue Coyle.

The Bronze team competed for the Knowles Trophy.
A new format of three 4BBB matches was trialled to encourage those less experienced in matchplay to participate. The players enjoyed the format and the final result was a well deserved 2 – 1 victory for Oakwood, due in no small part to their considerable ability to hole putts from anywhere on the green!
